Young Americans for Liberty

CAMERON
IS NEXT.

Liberty isn't inherited. Every generation has to win it back. You believe people are born free, to live and speak without asking permission. The founding chapter at Cameron is where that conviction turns into wins. You recruit the team and run the events that put local officials on record.

WHAT YOU'LL
DO.

RECRUIT YOUR TEAM

YAL students tabling on a campus quad with activism signs

Set up on the busiest corner you can find, put the issues your generation feels on a sign, and turn a table into a team. It's how a chapter finds its founding members.

PRESSURE POLITICIANS

YAL activists out canvassing with flyers in hand

Politicians answer to voters, and YAL puts voters at their door. Students have knocked 6 million doors for liberty bills and the legislators who back them. Your founding team brings that pressure to Oklahoma.

WIN THE STATE

The full YALCON crowd gathered in the main ballroom

YAL is turning Oklahoma into a Liberty Lighthouse State: the freest state in the union and the model other states copy. Winning it takes a founding team at Cameron University, and that team is yours to build.

MAKE
LIBERTY WIN.

02

STRATEGIZE WITH YAL NATIONAL

The fight has weight behind it. Activism director, training, budget, and a national machine that's elected nearly 400 state legislators. Your chapter at Cameron University plugs into the plan to make Oklahoma a Liberty Lighthouse State.

03

MAKE WAVES

Most people who care about liberty never fight for it. Founders organize a team, run events, hold officials accountable, and win. Then they keep going wherever the fight needs them, from campaigns to statehouses.

THREE WHO
WENT FIRST

The liberty movement has sent its own to Congress and statehouses, from Ron Paul to Rand Paul and Thomas Massie. Founding chapters are where the next generation gets its start.

SIX QUESTIONS
WE GET A LOT

WHAT'S A YAL CHAPTER?

A Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) chapter is a team of young people organizing for liberty. You pick the fights that matter at Cameron, from free speech to medical freedom, and run the events that put local officials on record. Behind you is YAL national, with a activism director and the budget to make it happen.

WHY A CHAPTER AT CAMERON?

Liberty in our lifetime comes down to who organizes for it. YAL chapters have won speech fights and helped elect liberty legislators in statehouses across the country. Cameron is next, and right now no one's leading it. That's the opening for you.

IS YAL AT CAMERON YET?

Not yet. Cameron is next on YAL's chartering roadmap, with a Fall '26 launch. This year YAL is recruiting the founding team, and it could be yours to lead.

WHAT DOES A FOUNDING LEADER DO?

Recruit your team and run events that take on the issues, from free speech and medical freedom to self-defense. Put politicians on record. Plan on 3–8 hours a week to start.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

No. Most founding leaders never ran a chapter before. What predicts success is whether you can organize people and pick fights worth winning. Clubs, student gov, a team, a part-time job, anywhere you've gotten people to show up. YAL gives you the training and a activism director who has launched chapters before, so you're never figuring it out alone.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

Your activism director reads what you wrote and reaches out for a 15-minute call. That's where we figure out what the fight at Cameron looks like for you.

NOBODY'S BUILDING THIS AT CAMERON YET.

The founding team starts with whoever fills out the form. It takes about three minutes.
